Meet the team
Our Corporate Finance team has extensive experience in acting on both equity and debt financings, with experience extending from seed-capital investments for start-up companies to handling multi-million-euro funding rounds led by some of Europe’s leading venture capital and private equity investors.
On the investor side, we routinely act for several of Ireland’s leading venture capital providers. In addition, we advise a number of leading Irish businesses on significant corporate financing facilities.
Representative experience
- Poppulo in a €30 million aggregate primary and secondary equity fundraising with US venture capital firm Susquehanna Growth Equity.
- Marco Polo (formerly TradeIX) on an equity investment by Accenture (NYSE: CAN) in the company.
- PCH International on series A, B and C investment rounds.
- Genesis Automation, a healthcare technology provider, in relation its to equity financing by Enterprise Ireland.
- Waratek on a number of multi-million euro funding rounds.
- FleetMatics Group on series A, B and C investment rounds prior to listing.
- Advised Biomimetic Innovations Limited (“BMI”), a medical device company headquartered in Shannon, Co. Clare on an equity investment of up to €8 million and associated licensing and distribution agreement with US company, Sanara MedTech Inc.
- Advised Nua Surgical, a medical technology firm based in Galway on its €6.5 million Series A equity investment led by Swedish investor EQT Life Sciences and supported by the Texas Medical Center Venture Fund (TMCVF), Kidron Capital and existing investors including Enterprise Ireland.
- Advised Ovagen, a biotechnology company based in Ballina, Co Mayo on its Series A equity investment led by the Western Development Commission (WDC).
- Advised Irish data science and artificial intelligence (AI) start-up Zerve on its €7M funding round led by Paladin Capital Group with continued support from Elkstone and angel investors.
- Advised Ceartas DMCA, an AI-powered copyright and piracy protection platform founded by Dan Purcell and Jonathan Smyth, on its recent €4.5M million financing round. The funding was led by Earlybird Venture Capital.
- Advised bodycam company HALO on its Series A $20 million financing round led by Volition Capital, a US-based growth equity company.
- Advised medtech company Luma Vision on its $22 million financing round led by existing investors EQT Life Sciences, ABV Uni Fund and Imec.xpand, and also included new investors including Irish-based Atlantic Bridge Growth Fund and Germany’s Bayern Kapital.
- Lonsdale Capital Partners, a UK private equity group, in respect of the Irish aspects of a significant investment in Horseware Ireland.
- White Swell Medical on a group reorganisation and subsequent $30 million equity fundraising and convertible debt investments led by US based RA Capital.
- Neuravi, a company dedicated to improving clinical outcomes for stroke patients, on numerous equity fundraising rounds including Series A and Series B investment rounds.
